Once mature, cashew apples, which contain cashew nuts, are harvested. The nuts are extracted, dried in the sun, and then shelled. The testa, a thin skin layer beneath the shell, is subsequently removed through peeling.
Characterized by notes of hazelnut, the taste of these cashew nuts is slightly sweet, mild, delicate, and buttery, contributing to a pleasant mouthfeel.
